OVERVIEW

Black Forest Academy’s Guidance Department supports students in a range of areas. These include:

  • Supporting their transition to/from BFA

  • Leading reflective assessments to help students know themselves better as they think about their future

  • Exploring career options and planning post-secondary school opportunities

  • Planning a four year academic progression at Black Forest Academy

  • Assisting with university application processes

  • Providing university preparatory testing

  • Making students aware of Summer and Gap Year options

All high schoolers are assigned a Guidance Counselor. Students with whom they will meet regularly throughout the year. Parents are also able to consult with their son or daughter’s Guidance Counselor.
