OVERVIEW
Black Forest Academy’s Guidance Department supports students in a range of areas. These include:
Supporting their transition to/from BFA
Leading reflective assessments to help students know themselves better as they think about their future
Exploring career options and planning post-secondary school opportunities
Planning a four year academic progression at Black Forest Academy
Assisting with university application processes
Providing university preparatory testing
Making students aware of Summer and Gap Year options
All high schoolers are assigned a Guidance Counselor. Students with whom they will meet regularly throughout the year. Parents are also able to consult with their son or daughter’s Guidance Counselor.
